This site was designed on a
Pentium II
266 Mhz PC with 98 MB RAM, nVIDEA Geoforce 2 MX (32 MiB RAM) GPU and 40 GiB
HDD, donated by my brother Han van Lin (
Lochem NL), running
SUSE
Linux 9.3.
The used html editor is
Nvu (New View, based on
Mozilla
code). However this is a nitwit "What You See Is What You Get" editor,
it was designed to bee
any browser
proof. Unfortunately I discovered it is not compatible with the
Arachne web browser, which i use on my FreeDOS/OpenGEM box.
All the bitmaps I produced for this website are in
Portable Network
Graphics format.
I have tested the pages in the
Links text
based browser and
KTTSMgr
(the
KDE
Text To Speech Manager), using the
Festival
Speech Synthesis backend.
The site is currently maintained on a Dell OptiPlex GX240 with
Pentium 4 CPU on 1,70 Ghz, 384 MiB RAM, nVIDEA Geoforce 2 MX GPU (64
MiB RAM), 4 GiB HDD, donated by
GL1MST, running openSUSE 10.2.
The music on the news page is a midi of
Mike Oldfield's
Muse of the Guitars album.
